The historic McLauthlin Building is one of the oldest cast-iron front buildings in the country and was formerly the McLaughlin Elevator Building. In 1975, it was listed in the national registry of historic places. In 1978, the building turned condominium. Now, the McLauthlin Building is a modern elevator building that is professionally managed with a full-time superintendent. The Building consists of 6 stories and was built in the 1850s.
